East Alabama Amateur Radio Club Silent Keys

A silent key (SK) is a deceased amateur radio operator.  The "key" is a reference to the telegraph keys historically used to transmit Morse code.


When a ham dies, the "silent key" symbolize that their transmissions will not be heard again.
